How to export PowerPoints as videos
1. Exporting as video
- Go to File > Export > Create a Video.
- Choose video quality (e.g., Full HD or HD).
- Select timings and narration options (use recorded timings or set manually).

2. Save and Convert
- Click “Create Video”.
- Choose a destination folder and name your file.
- PowerPoint will begin converting the presentation to an MP4 file.
How to create close captions with Microsoft Stream
1. Upload Your MP4 to Microsoft Stream
- Go to Microsoft Stream: Stream | M365 Copilot.
- Click “Upload” and select your exported PowerPoint MP4 file.

Wait for the video to finish processing before continuing.
2. Generate Captions
- Open the video and go to "Video settings".

Under “Transcript and Captions”, select “Generate”

Select a supported language and select “Generate”. You should then see a progress bar.
3. Review and Edit Captions
- Once captions are generated, click “Transcript”.
- Use the Edit button to correct any errors in the transcript.
- Click “Done” to confirm your changes.
