How to create assignments on Moodle
1. Turn on editing
- Go to the page you want to add the assignment to.

Turn editing on using the “Turn editing on” button at the top right.
2. Add assignment activity

Click “Add an activity or resource” in the desired section of your page.

Choose “Assignment” from the activity chooser and click “Add”.

3. Configure assignment settings

Enter a name and description for the assignment.

Set availability dates (open, due, cut-off) under the “Availability” section.
- Optionally, you can also attach supporting documents to the assignment under "Additional files"
4. Set submission types
- Tick "Document Submissions" if students need to submit documents
- Tick "Video/Audio submission" if students need to upload video/audio files

Optionally: You can specify maximum number of files that can be uploaded and file types (this only affects document submissions)
5. Adjust Grade Settings

Set the grade type (point, scale, or none) as needed.
6. Save and Display

Click “Save and return to course” or “Save and display”.

Review the assignment to ensure everything is set correctly.
